What We Test For:

PRIORITY 200 & 100 PLUS WATER TEST KITS

The Priority 200 Plus Water Test is a comprehensive water test that includes the most commonly requested parameters performed by laboratories nationwide. In addition to a battery of bacteria tests, the Priority 200 Plus Water Test also includes testing for a multitude of inorganic chemicals, volatile organic compounds, PCBs and pesticides, including nitrates, lead, mercury, MTBE, arsenic, benzene, TTHMs, DDT, and many more.
We first test for targeted VOC contaminants.

“BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE”…

…If the volatile organic testing performed on our mass spectrometer identifies the spectra of what are called ‘non-targeted’ compounds, we then conduct a search for non-targeted compounds if they are present. We do this by matching the non-targeted spectra against a database of about 250,000 compounds published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)1.

That means our Priority Water Test Kits evaluates your drinking water for targeted contaminants plus a NIST library search for additional non-targeted VOC contaminants…

…a total of 200+ contaminants!

The only difference between our on-line test and various State or County certified testing is that these programs require that laboratory personnel physically collect the sample from the facility being tested. That’s it!

1 The fully-evaluated, most widely used mass spectral reference library. Compiled by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Summary: The NIST 11 mass spectral database, the successor to the NIST 08, is a fully evaluated collection of electron ionization (EI) mass spectra. It also contains a growing set of MS/MS spectra and GC data. It is the product of more than two decade, comprehensive evaluation and expansion of the world’s most widely used mass spectral reference library by a team of experienced mass spectrometrists in which each spectrum was examined for correctness.

** Please be advised that if you are in need of unusually high and/or low quantitative results for any parameter, you must first call the laboratory to determine if our equipment range is adequate for your needs. Our equipment is calibrated to perform normal analyses commonly found for standard drinking water testing.
